Litblogs – literary blogs

At some stage every day I crank up my iPad and browse through the latest offerings of my favourite Litblogs via my “Reeder” app.  I’m continually adding blogs via RSS subscriptions to my Google Reader.

I no longer spend wonderful hours in bookshops trawling through their offerings though this is a loss, on the whole I’ve gained something new. I now browse through constantly updated Litblogs, they give me suggestions, reviews, personal opinions and themed read-a-longs, all for free.  I select many more books than I did when browsing bookshops because the Litblogs give me more detail to peruse while I’m in the comfort of my lounge room. After having my interest tweaked, I head off to Amazon to download a sample to my Kindle.  The end result is (listen up marketing people) I buy more books than ever before.

I miss my visits to bookshops terribly but my pleasure within books themselves has increased immeasurably.

Here is a list of my current favourite Litblogs along with links to their RSS feeds.  I favour the Google Reader so you’ll find the links redirect you to the Google Reader:
